Tumble Rumble

Family is a kinship all about fun and togetherness. These two calves were protected by a huge herd, but between all the feet one could witness their curiosity and playfulness. When the opportunity came the two dashed out to a muddy puddle, gifting the photographer this image of genuine sibling love.

These calves are only a few hours old. Nilgai calves are able to stand on their feet just 40 minutes after they are born. Over half of the Nilgai births are of a single calf, around 40% give birth to twins, and triplets are not uncommon.

During a safari at the Gir National Park, the photographer was observing a pride of lions For a long time, the cub kept walking behind the mother, a little unsure of himself. But, after a point, the cub got really curious and started moving ahead of the female and observing the onlookers.

The Late Prince of Paar

It was on a Mother’s Day, when the photographer witnessed this adolescent male tiger with his mother – Parvati at the Jim Corbett National Park. Here, you can see the family of two enjoying a bath in the Ramganga river. Sadly, a couple of days later, the adolescent male died trying to secure the Paar zone from a fully grown male tiger. The mother, Parvati, left with heavy wounds but was saved thanks to the tremendous efforts of the Corbett authorities.
